Your first visit will take longer than follow-up visits. We will take your pulse, examine your tongue, and ask you a wide range of questions about your symptoms, diet, exercise, sleep habits, emotional states and anything that may offer insight into your health through these methods used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to confirm your diagnosis. Be sure to discuss any specific questions or concerns you might have with your acupuncturist so they can address them.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that can be rolled up the knees and elbows for easy access to acupuncture points.
Do not eat large meals just before or after your visit; having treatment on an empty stomach may lead to dizziness and nausea.
Acupuncture is a very relaxing treatment and there is very little pain or discomfort associated with it. If you are nervous or unsure about anything you might encounter, please Contact Us and we can set your mind at ease.
